Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch for a while now. You know, the one with the Sapphire crystal and the Caliber 3861 movement? Yeah, that’s the one. I finally pulled the trigger and got my hands on it. Here’s how it went down.
First off, I found it exclusively at a specialty store. I went there directly because I knew I wanted to see it in person before making any decisions. I started by looking around at different watches, but my eyes kept going back to the Speedmaster. I asked the salesperson to take it out of the case so I could get a better look, and they were happy to oblige.
Once I got the watch out of the display case, I got to try it on. Man, holding it in my hands, it felt solid and looked so much better in person. The black dial is super clean, and the white markings are printed, which is actually kind of cool and makes them pop. I mean, it looks classic, but in a good way, you know? I flipped it over and checked out the back. You can see the movement through the sapphire crystal on the back, which is always a nice touch.
I spent a good amount of time examining the watch, turning it over in my hands, and trying it on different wrists. I was feeling it, but I wasn’t completely sold yet. I mean, it’s a pretty penny to spend on a watch, right? So, I started asking the salesperson a bunch of questions. They told me about the movement, this Caliber 3861, and how it’s supposedly super accurate and can handle magnetic fields and all that jazz. They also mentioned that it’s more shock-resistant than the older models and doesn’t need to be serviced as often. That all sounded good, but I needed more, and I was like, “What about using it every day? Can it handle the daily grind, like from winter to summer, without being too delicate?” They assured me that it’s built for that, except for maybe swimming or diving, which I don’t do much of anyway.
After much going back and forth in my mind, checking the watch, asking my questions, I decided to go for it. I bought the darn thing!
