Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch for a while now. It’s got that Cal.3861 movement, and honestly, I just loved the sapphire version, I just had to get it.
I started my hunt online, just browsing, you know, the usual way. I looked around quite a bit, and I mean, everywhere. I wanted to see what my options were. There was this forum, I think it was Chrono24, had a bunch of listings for the Speedmaster Professional. I browsed through them, compared prices and conditions.
After a while, I decided that I was going to go for the sapphire crystal version. I just liked the way it looked, and it felt right. And, of course, the history behind the Moonwatch, I couldn’t resist. I went further and searched online for places to buy it. There were these specialty stores that popped up, and they seemed legit. There were a few names that came up as trustworthy, so I made a list of those.
My Unboxing Day
- I finally placed my order. Waiting for it to arrive was a pain, let me tell you!
- When the package finally showed up, I grabbed it and opened it right away. I was like a kid on Christmas morning.
- Seeing the watch in person for the first time was amazing. It looked even better than the pictures. I carefully took it out of its box, admired it for a while, and then put it on my wrist.
The craftsmanship is top-notch. I mean, it looks and feels just like the real deal, with that see-through back and everything. I wound it up, set the time, and started wearing it immediately. I haven’t taken it off since! Is it worth the money? Well, I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t cheap. But seeing it on my wrist every day, yeah, it feels worth it to me.
The price, though, can vary a lot. I saw some for around $3,995, and others way up there, like over $33,000! I guess it depends on where you get it and the condition. I ended up paying somewhere in the middle, around $6,000. From what I’ve read, these Speedmaster Professionals usually hold their value pretty well, so I’m not too worried. I’m just happy to finally have one of my own.
In the end, if you have your heart set on it, I think it’s worth it. It’s an awesome watch that will last a long time.
