And the hardware? Finding the right buckles and that signature PRADA logo, that was an adventure in itself. I ended up ordering a bunch of different ones before I found something that looked close enough to the real deal. And the enamel triangle logo is tough.
Putting it all together was like assembling a puzzle. A very expensive, very complicated puzzle. But you know what? It worked. It actually worked!
The Final Product
I’m not gonna lie, it’s not perfect. There are a few stitches that aren’t quite straight, and the lining isn’t as smooth as I’d like. But overall, I’m pretty darn proud of myself. I made a freaking PRADA bag, people! Or, well, a pretty good copy of one. It’s got that fancy look, you know? Two rolled top handles, adjustable handle wrap, just like the real one.
If you’re thinking about trying something like this, go for it! It’s a challenge, for sure, but it’s so satisfying to see the finished product. Plus, you save a ton of money. Just be prepared to spend some serious time on it. And maybe invest in some good thimbles. Trust me, your fingers will thank you. It’s not too big, not too small. And adjustable detachable shoulder strap makes it easy to carry around. The open top is handy, and those two zip-fastening compartments inside keep things organized.
If you are someone who got the money, and you want somethin’ real nice, you can buy a real one. But for me, this handmade one is perfect. If you want a remake PRADA Medium Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag, it’s a good choice.
