Wearing and Testing
Of course, looking good is one thing, but a watch also needs to tell time, right? So, I started wearing it around. I have to say it’s been a fun experience. Even though I know it’s not the real deal, I still feel a little bit fancy when I have it on my wrist.
As for accuracy, it’s been doing okay. It loses a few seconds here and there, but nothing too major. I mean, I wasn’t expecting atomic clock precision from a replica. I’ve read that the brand brought some updates to its Duomètre collection, including a new Heliotourbillon within a Duomètre Perpetual Calendar, pretty cool if you are rich and into watches, but for now, I’ll stick with my imitation.
Final Thoughts
So, yeah, that’s my experience with this imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Duomètre Sphérotourbillon. Getting a real JLC Duomètre, especially the Quantième Lunaire, must be a real treat, like a little piece of engineering art on your wrist. I wouldn’t consider buying a real one but it’s fun to play with the idea sometimes. Overall, I’m happy with it. It’s a fun little toy to have, and it definitely sparks some conversations. Would I recommend it? I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a cheap way to experience the look and feel of a high-end watch, then sure, go for it. But if you’re a serious watch collector, then obviously, this isn’t for you.
